Yuva Chintana Foundation (YCF) has been working in the field of education in Karnataka for over a  decade. We work with organisations to deliver their programmes at the grassroots level as well as build and disseminate our own education programmes in the state of Karnataka. We have a small team, which consists of self-motivated individuals who have developed a sound understanding of government policies and programmes in the education sector in the country and who know how to build on those initiatives to make them achieve their potential.  


The Senior Programme Executive will be responsible for co-ordinating all of YCF’s activities at the block and district level across the state of Karnataka. This will involve travelling to various districts to monitor activities, meeting with block, district and state level officials, building awareness about  YCF’s work and advocating for its different programmes. Any potential candidate must have a  nuanced understanding of various developments that have taken place in the field of education in  Karnataka as well as know how to place these developments within the scheme of changes taking place in India and the rest of the world.  


  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of 15+ co-ordinators and facilitators across the state. 
  • Co-ordinate with government officials at the block and district level to help disseminate YCF’s different programmes. 
  • Advocate for and build awareness regarding YCF’s various programmes at the block and district level. 
  • Lead a team of co-ordinators to plan and evaluate work done by facilitators in the field. 
  • Monitor the disbursal of funds across the state and write regular reports to update grantmakers of the status of their project. 
  • Travel to various towns and villages across Karnataka to monitor the work being done by YCF at the grassroot level. 
  • Direct the communication team regarding videos, reports, case studies that need to be completed to help in advocacy efforts.

  • Proficient in Kannada (Written and Oral) 
  • Proficient in English (Written and Oral)

  • Passionate about reaching out to vulnerable communities 


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
  • 8 to 15 years of work experience in a relevant field, preferably in the education sector, would be preferred. 
  • Being well-networked and willing to explore new connections in the state of Karnataka will be an added advantage. 
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating projects in his/her previous assignments will be preferred.
  • Experience in the government sector will be preferred.
