Key relationships:  

Internal: Project Heads, Executive Director  

External: Partner Clients, Donors, Trustees.

Role purpose: 

The Sr. HR & Learning Development will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment  process, designing organization policies, implementing learning methods and setting  objectives for the HR team

Key Responsibilities  Deliverable Outcomes
HR Management  Recruitment  

Develop HR strategy, processes and standards for  recruiting, selection, and staffing activities including  manpower planning etc  

Manage smooth execution of all the HR functions  relating to hiring, contract renewals, appointments as  per HR policies for ensuring that our organization  attracts and selects high performing employees.  

Ensure and maintain adequate documentation for HR  process  

Set clear roles and with timelines for agencies hired  for recruitments and vacancy management 

Ability to think and plan innovatively in fast racking  recruitment process for filling up the vacancies at all  levels 

Participate in the exit process and lead the analysis around attrition in consultation with the Leadership  Teams. 

Support current and future business needs through  the development, engagement, motivation and  

preservation of human capital

Assess training needs to apply and monitor training  programs 

Report to management and provide decision support  through HR metrics 

Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource  management 

Performance Management – 

Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system  that drives high performance 

Organization Culture – 

Bridge management and employee relations by  addressing demands, grievances or other issues 

Nurture a positive working environment 

Enhancing Employee Engagement & Communication  within the projects 

Build Organization to acquire Great place to work  certification

Learning & Development  Conducting skills gap analyses for the purpose of  determining needs of employees in line with  organisation’s needs.  

Build system and plan for development of professional goals for Employees. 

Create and execute learning strategies and programs  for employees with support of their Reporting  Managers  

Develop systems and processes to increase decentralized decision-making within the  organization 

Assess the success of development plans and help  employees make the most of learning opportunities 

Help managers develop their team members through  career pathing 

Track budgets and negotiate contracts

Person specification 
Qualification:  Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, or  related field
Prior Experience:  5-8 years’ experience 
Language Proficiency:  Fluent in spoken and written English & Hindi.  Knowledge of Marathi is added advantage
Essential skills:  Leadership skills, including the ability to supervise and  motivate a diverse team 

Excellent Communication skills – oral and written 

Experience in developing employee learning and  development initiatives  

In-depth knowledge in MS Excel & other MS office  suites with strong online research skills 

Strong Problem solving, conflict resolution and  decision-making skills 

Observation and Monitoring Skills
