Project Officer
Location – Bangalore or Sangli. Regular travel is part of this profile

SANGRAM Sanstha a health and development NGO based in Sangli, Maharashtra is looking for a  Project Officer to assist in the implementation of its projects and programs. SANGRAM  undertakes research, training and advocacy on issues related to sex workers, rural women and health initiatives. The applicant should have a proven track record in project management,  report writing or undertaking social research/writing or implementation skills or preparing training modules with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Role and Responsibilities  

  1. Work closely with the grassroots teams of SANGRAM and its collectives based in Sangli,  Kolhapur and Satara; to develop and strengthen content  
  2. Develop project design, assist in the team in training, document activities  Develop training modules  
  3. Write project reports, activity reports in English in consultation with the teams  Demonstrated working experience with community groups desirable  
  4. Develop quarterly Newsletter material for the organization  
  5. Develop and disseminate material that increase visibility of the issues that SANGRAM and  its collectives works on among stakeholders  


  1. Degree (Bachelors/ Masters) in Social Sciences or Social Work (English medium)  Previous work in the development sector essential  
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential (in English)  
  3. Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and solve  problems quickly and effectively  
  4. English language reading and writing skills essential (Additional skills of Marathi, Hindi would be useful)  

Work Location – Bangalore or Sangli. Regular travel is part of this profile.
