About EDII

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), an autonomous and not-for-profit institute, set up in 1983, is an acknowledged National Resource Institute for Entrepreneurship Education, Research, Training & Institution Building. It is sponsored by apex financial institutions – the IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd. and the State Bank of India (SBI). The Government of Gujarat pledged twenty-three acres of land on which stands the majestic and sprawling EDII campus. To pursue its mission, EDII has helped set up twelve state-level exclusive entrepreneurship development centres and institutes. Recently, EDII has been recognized as the Centre of Excellence by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. In order to broaden the frontiers of Entrepreneurship Research, EDII has established a Centre for Research in Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CREED), to investigate a range of issues surrounding the small and medium enterprise sector through its publication, “The Journal of Entrepreneurship”. In the international arena, efforts to develop entrepreneurship by way of sharing resources and organising training programmes, have helped EDII earn accolades and support from the World Bank, Commonwealth Secretariat, UNIDO, ILO, FNSt, British Council, Ford Foundation, European Union, ASEAN Secretariat and several other renowned agencies. EDII has also set up Entrepreneurship Development Centre in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Rwanda.

Project Executive

Job Location: Bangalore

No. of Post: 1

Job Description:

  • Selected project officers will be responsible to provide guidance and counselling to potential and existing entrepreneurs for setting up and developing small and micro-enterprises.
  • Assisting the micro and small enterprises in developing technology and forward linkages
  • Preparation of technically feasible and economically viable project report.
  • Reporting to donors.

Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Rural Management/socialwork/Economics/MSW/B.E with (Agri/Horticulture/sericulture/Dairy/veterinary etc.)

 Experience:

  • Must have 1 or 2 years of experience in Microenterprise/ Entrepreneurship Development/Self Employment/ Livelihood/ Rural women’s related schemes and projects, SHGs

Skills:

  • The candidate should possess good documentation and reporting skills, a high degree of computer literacy, data analysis ability, and good communication ability with fluency in English, Hindi, and Kannada

Type of Employment: On a Contractual basis.

Maximum Remuneration: Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month

 

Value Chain Development Expert

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences/Master’ Degree in Rural Management/ social work/ Economics/MBA with interest in working with urban poor women
  • Must have 1-2 years of experience in Microenterprise/ Entrepreneurship Development/ Self Employment/ Livelihood/ Women’s related schemes and projects. Marketing experience will be an added advantage
  • Candidate should have working proficiency in English and Telugu
  • The candidate should possess good documentation and reporting skills, a high degree of computer literacy, data analysis ability, and good communication ability.

Job Description:

  • Identify major leverage points for value chain development and market opportunities as a basis for better livelihoods for the beneficiaries.
  • Support beneficiaries to stimulate and plan value chain development and strengthen value chains through increased local and national market access.
  • Work with the team to map the value chain including main actors, raw materials availability, and the flow of products, infrastructure facilities, distributors, financial institutions, and all supporting organizations.
  • Create market linkages and tie-ups for the products manufactured by EDII trained women
  • Understanding of appropriate business ideas and technology solutions as per the identified sectors/trades
  • Conduct Skill Development activities- Production Technology and entrepreneurial value chain
  • Facilitate Business Plan Formulation, funding, and infra set-up for enterprises

General Working Profile:

  • Coordinate with Project Coordinator, Master Trainer, and Community Mobilizers for implementation of the project
  • Be responsible for the technical inputs for the beneficiaries through training, workshops, seminars, and visits
  • Assisting in enterprise development, business development, market linkages, and credit linkages.
  • Post-programme follow up and handholding of entrepreneurs through training and mentoring
  • Prepare detailed work plans and progress reports
  • Identify and ensure entrepreneurs’ participation in relevant Fairs and exhibition
  • Participate in all meetings held for review of the progress by EDII H.O/SRO
  • Any other work/activity as assigned by the Office.
  • Travelling to the field is required

Type of Employment: On a Contractual basis.

Remuneration: 20,000 to 25,000 per month

 

Credit Linkage Expert

Job Location: Bangalore

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s /Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship/MBA/MSW/Rural Development/Development Studies

Experience: 3 – 5 Years of relevant experience.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; clear and professional demeanour.
  • Efficient with MS Office and literate with other computer skills.

Job Description:

  • Consolidate & map schemes of the government for an end-to-end credit linkage mechanism.
  • Consolidate & map sector-specific schemes available through state programs.
  • Consolidate & map sector-specific schemes available through national programs
  • Develop a framework for availing of respective schemes.
  • Capacity Building of Mentors to extend support to aspiring entrepreneurs for credit.
  • Business proposal vetting and plans to be submitted.
  • Liaising with respective departments for approvals and timely disbursement of funds under the scheme. 
  • Explore another mechanism for enabling credit linkages from the Private Sector.
  • Enabling funding by means of angel investors, impact investors, social enterprise, CSR funding, etc.

Remuneration: 20,000 to 25,000 per month

 

Market Linkage Expert

Qualification: B.B.A/M.B.A (Marketing) / P.G Diploma with Marketing Experience

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 3-5 years

Responsibilities

  • Conceive and develop efficient and intuitive marketing strategies
  • Organize and oversee advertising/communication campaigns (social media, TV, etc.), exhibitions, and promotional events
  • Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition ventures
  • Initiate and control surveys to assess customer requirements and dedication
  • Write copy for diverse marketing distributions (brochures, press releases, website material, etc.)
  • Maintain relationships with media vendors and publishers to ensure collaboration in promotional activities
  • Monitor progress of campaigns using various metrics and submit reports of performance
  • Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a marketing executive or similar role
  • Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis, and statistics methods
  • Thorough knowledge of strategic planning principles and marketing best practices
  • Proficient in MS Office and marketing software (e.g. CRM)
  • Familiarity with social media and web analytics (e.g. Web Trends)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Creativity and commercial awareness
  • BSc/BA in marketing, business administration, or relevant discipline.

M.I.S Executive

Job Location: Bengaluru

Job description

  • As an MIS (Management Information Systems) Executive, you are required to work with Data. Handle everyday administrative tasks such as data entry, updating sheets, and making reports as the requirements may be.
  • This role is a role for professionals who are good with numbers
  • Extensive use of Advanced Excel Techniques such as pivot table (vlook up, pivot table, charts) is a must.
  • Must be able to create reports using data.
  • Complex formulas Data visualization in form of creative dashboards
  • Dashboard Development and report creation for clients
  • Exceptional analytical thinking with experience working in a global environment Complied with reports of project status

Qualification: Bachelor’s /Masters / VISCOM /MASCOM

Maximum Remuneration: Rs. 25,000 to 30,000

Type of Employment: On Contractual basis for 11 months; to be extended on need and performance basis.
