Sshrishti’s footprints cover states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh. Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Punjab. As of 2022, there are learning centres that reach out to 1500 underprivileged children daily, offering quality education for the early years, bridge-learning facility and nutrition in the form of a daily midday meal. Sshrishti also provides digital literacy and skill development training to the youth giving them the opportunity for a better future and works towards women empowerment through our programmes for livelihood generation and gender justice.

Founded in 2012, Central Square Foundation is a non-profit philanthropic foundation working with the vision of ensuring quality school education for all children in India. The organization is driven by its mission to transform the school education system with a focus on improving the learning outcomes of children, especially from low-income communities. In order to achieve this, the organization partners with individuals and social impact organizations to bring innovative solutions in education, as well as work with the government to drive systemic impact. One of the key areas of CSF’s work is EdTech (Education Technology). Under this thematic area, organization focuses on how technology can be leveraged to improve the teaching-learning experience within classrooms and at homes – through both student-focussed and teacher-directed interventions for low-income contexts. 

Position Summary 

Sshrishti Trust seeks qualified applicants for the position of IT Associate for a Project that seeks to diagnose and define barriers to EdTech engagement in a household. The project is managed by Central Square Foundation (CSF), and Sshrishti Trust is the implementing partner. The project is being implemented in Almora district, Uttarakhand for a beneficiary set of 800 students with the provision of a dedicated device bundled with internet connection & learning software solutions (BYJU’s and Mindpark).

For this project, we have installed a Mobile Device Management (MDM) Software called Esper on the tablets meant for distribution. The MDM software aids in real-time monitoring of the devices and retrieving usage data for all the devices from a unified console. We have also used the MDM software for configuring the devices with the required apps and learning solutions for this project. This software plays a critical role in securing optimal usage of apps through its nudging mechanism and also helps provide students with the right level of access to resources on the device. 

The project period is currently 7 months (extendable – based on progress of the project) till May 31, 2023. During the project period, IT assistant will work closely with the Implementation team (Sshrishti) on a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, the following: 

Areas of Support 

  • Build a thorough understanding of the IT aspects of the project such as MDM software and device functionalities 
  • Provide assistance to the Shrishti / CSF team in the provisioning of devices with the Esper MDM software 
  • Be the main point of contact for troubleshooting issues concerning the devices such as those related with the MDM / Esper team, or the learning software team (BYJU’s, Mindspark) and also work with the local Lenovo vendor in case of device-specific issues (including travel to student/school location / lenovo vendor location as required). 
  • Support in raising tickets with Esper including end-to-end support over email and phone for any MDM-related issues 
  • Work with the Sshrishti Trust agent to ensure specific device issues are resolved within 2 days of child/parent raising IT issue on the devices 
  • Download any reports for collating / updating status / better analysis of IT issues incurred during course of the project 
  • Maintaining documentation of technological issues faced during the course of the project 
  • Responsible for leading weekly sessions with CSF, Sshrishti Trusts, and the Esper team to resolve MDM issues (if any). 

Desired Qualifications and Experience 

  • Degree in software or computer engineering, or other engineering disciplines with experience in programming, coding preferred
  • Prior experience in managing projects with EdTech solutions or MDM software is strongly preferred 
  • Good organizing and reporting skills 
  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi
