JOB DESCRIPTION

Foundation for Ecological Security (www.fes.org.in) invites applications from IT professionals for the below mentioned positions for its India Observatory programme

FULL-STACK / PHP DEVELOPER (Experience 5 years and above)    

• Knowledge of PHP, HTML5, and JavaScript for the Design & Development of an application with the experience of minimum five years.
• Specific knowledge of Open Layers libraries for visualizing maps in web pages.
• Knowledge of API/Webservice development to be used for communication with a mobile app.
• Work experience with external API integration.
• Able to write/understand intermediate queries in PostgreSQL and execute them using PHP.
• Participate in full app life-cycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test and release.
• Experience of working with AWS

POSTGRESQL ADMINISTRATOR / DEVELOPER (Experience 5 years and above)   

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle
• Manage data and application for complex pan India social and ecological data sets.
• Supporting database design, creation, and testing activities
• Managing the database availability and performance, including incident and problem management
• Administering database objects to achieve optimum utilization
• Defining and implementing event triggers that will alert on potential database performance or integrity issues
• Performing database housekeeping, such as tuning, indexing, etc.
• Monitoring usage, transaction volumes, response times, concurrency levels, etc.
• Identifying reporting, and managing database security issues, audit trails, and forensics
• Designing database backup, archiving, and storage strategy
• Creating and maintaining database standards and policies

ANDROID DEVELOPER (Experience 5 years and above)  

• Knowledge of Android development with Java
• SQLite, Shared preferences
• Work experience with JSON and data via REST
• Working experience APIs integration and third party libraries.
• Experience of mobile development life cycle
• Gradle experience
• Testing
• Publishing
