Desirable Qualification

Post Graduate Degree in Social Sciences / Science / Environmental Sciences / Social Work / Rural Development / Management


  • Minimum Five Years of Experience in Community Development especially in Participatory Approaches to Community Mobilization
  • Should have experience of working in at least two projects in Rural Development Sector, preferably in Water Management.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To steer the Project Team in the implementation of the JJM programme and its objectives.
  • To plan and provide necessary Technical Support for Capacity Building Program, Surveys, VAP, PRA, IEC and Social Mobilization Activities.
  • Scheduling work plan and Regular field visit to monitor timely deliverables.
  • Planning and organize training programs on various themes as per identified training needs.
  • To support, Monitor and Evaluate the JJM programme on a regular basis to achieve its milestones and objectives within the defined time frame.
  • To identify appropriate indicators, design and put inplace a monitoring and evaluation system to track behaviour change outcomes.
  • To identify Critical Capacity / Skill gaps among Key Stakeholders for implementation to promote a community-led approach to rural water supply and facilitate the process of bridging these gaps.
  • To liaison with the WSSO and PHED for the smooth implementation of the JJM programme.
  • To assist in development of training modules for MIS-GIS applications.
  • Review of reports, impact assessment and appraisal of the material
  • Preparation of field survey manual, field data/record keeping format, monitoring formats etc.
  • Review and preparation of Village Action Plan and Data Analytics.
  • Generate Process Documentation/ Reports.
  • Documenting good practices and success stories
  • Any other task relevant to the project for social mobilization and other activities of the project.
