TNS India Foundation has been working to help farmers earn greater incomes through holistic development of agricultural value chains and improvement of market systems. A new project is being commissioned by a reputed global company under its CSR program in Dindori district of Nashik to promote sustainable livelihoods for farming households. The program aims to support in improving local agricultural production systems, water use efficiency, market access, and building capacities of farmers and farmer groups and enabling women to be financially literate and empowered.

Partnerships: Build and nurture partnerships with government and private organizations  


TNS India Foundation is currently seeking a motivated and skilled candidate to join its Program Support team as a Crop Lead. This is a full-time position based in Nashik, Maharashtra. The incumbent would have overall project and operational management responsibilities gained through work with leading development and corporate sector organizations. 


  • Planning and monitoring of grapes, vegetables and other crop demonstrations at farmer’s field.  
  • Designing crop specific training modules and related communication materials, conduct ToT programs for Internal teams.  
  • Providing post training technical advisory services to farmers. 
  • Strengthening technical capabilities of the team through various training programs.  
  • Conducting various field activities on the Demonstration farms for promotion & extension of best horticulture and agriculture practices amongst farming community and maintaining a strong MIS  for the same.  
  • Liaising with the various project partners especially with the research institutes, Department of  Agriculture, local KVKs and agro-input industries for suitable convergence in the project.  
  • Project activities with respect to Procurement, Input Mobilization, Statutory registrations as per  project requirement.  
  • Monitoring the project progress and providing inputs and action points to the team.  
  • Donor & stakeholder reporting.  
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of working in rain-fed climate conditions is a Must. 
  • Knowledge management and delivery of participatory approaches in capacity building programs for communities, project functionaries, etc.
  • Strong team collaboration, Stakeholder management and leadership skills is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team.  


Master’s degree or equivalent in Horticulture, Agriculture and allied activities.  

Minimum 4-7 years of experience in the development sector or corporate organizations with strong project management, people management, process & stakeholder management skills. In  the overall experience, substantial experience in knowledge management and delivery of participatory approaches in capacity building programs for communities, project functionaries,  etc. is desirable.  

Experience in working with small and marginal farmers and supporting farmer producer organizations will be preferred.  

Flare for travel as the job profile requires 70% travel time.  

Candidate should have excellent communication skills (oral as well as written) and should be proficient in MS power point, MS word and MS excel.  

Proficiency in Marathi language is a must.  

Flexible for relocation to any project location.
