Job Title: Communications Executive  

Location: Pune, Maharashtra with travel to the rural geography of Velhe Block, Pune District 

Reports to: Communications Manager

The Foundation pools together a mix of resources from the ecosystem to develop successful and scalable programs and solutions to address India’s chronic social and environmental issues. It strives to co-create these programs along with leading non-profit organizations, technical experts,  governments, and the community. The Foundation has two core focus areas are Sustainable  Landscape Management and Workplace Mental Health. 

Roles and Responsibilities:  

We are looking for an enthusiastic storyteller, event manager and communication specialist to assist the communication team and deliver the grassroots communication program. A passion for social impact and a flair for Marathi are the key attributes for the role.

  • Support the development and implementation of a multi-faceted grassroot  communications plan, which include message development, web presence, advocacy, and  social media to educate, motivate, and influence target audiences 
  • Ensuring timely data collection for all grassroot communication related projects 
  • Assist in the design and develop all key print collaterals and /or IEC material such as Program Brochures, Posters, Leaflets, Manuals, Newsletters, Magazine, etc
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, other internal teams and field team for on-ground  implementation of communication activities, new initiatives, and projects 
  • Assist in the production of well branded PowerPoint presentations for various community  outreach events 
  • Translate important information, documents in English and Marathi
  • Coordinate photography and videography for/of events, activities, etc. for use in  publications, media, etc. and ensure appropriate releases are signed and filed; maintain  graphic and photo files 
  • Identify, conceptualise, and develop all Audio-visual content for community
  • Assist in identify opportunities for communications engagement, and provide front-line  support in drafting content, including talking points, press releases, op-eds, blog posts,  factsheets, and digital content like social media 
  • Provide support to communication teams for the implementation and amplification of communication strategies, other key communication projects, and events.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for need-based content and/or communications requirements

Candidate Profile  

  • Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication, Marketing, PR or other relevant  disciplines  
  • Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in corporate communication, PR,  print, broadcast, and/or news media with a proven track record in assisting brand  building and multi-stakeholder marketing/PR campaigns 
  • Communication role in the social sector, philanthropic organisations, corporate  foundations, and NGOs is an asset  
  • Fluency in both English and Marathi 

Skills and Competencies 

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to write in Marathi and English 
  • Ability to draft press release, press notes 
  • Ability to make videos, record bytes, edit videos and basic designing 
  • Ability to write content for various channels including, case studies, feature stories, and creatively package and represent content, on time for various stakeholders in both English and Marathi 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision while being a  committed team player 
  • Ability to manage end to end communications projects within a set timeframe
  • Commitment and passion for social causes 
  • Strong Computer Skills Basic knowledge of working with design software (Corel Draw/  Adobe Illustrator/ InDesign or Adobe Photoshop/Canva)
