  2.  work directly or with partners in implementing the solutions to build evidence of success, failures and learnings 
  3.  build knowledge templates to disseminate widely for the larger sector to adopt good practices  

Our efforts are equally distributed between implementation and advocacy so as to play a catalytic role in solving for the issues at scale that impacts the sector at large. Our founders spend substantial amount of their time working very closely  with the small, tight-knit team to collectively impact the below-mentioned focus areas: 

  1. Social Sector Capacity Building (SSCB) focused to drive investments in building ecosystem capabilities of the sector  and organizational effectiveness  
  2. Sustainable Rural Development [SRD] focused at addressing key rural issues and supports initiatives such as desilting  of water bodies and natural farming 
  3. Goodwill supporting various projects but largely focused on (i) domestic violence against women (ii) urban governance (iii) afforestation. We have also supported large legacy projects such as SRCC Children’s Hospital,  Ashoka University and Give India under this portfolio. 

About the role  

We are currently looking to hire an Associate who will work to support managers across the following 3 sub-verticals under  our Social Sector Capacity Building vertical: 

  1. Centre of Excellence (COE) – Building the capacity of NGOs to sustain their organization and scale their impact 
  2. Learning & Development Programs (LDP) – Developing a cadre of trained professional leaders across non-programmatic domains such as Leadership, Fundraising, Talent & Culture etc. to improve the overall effectiveness of  NGOs. 
  3. Ecosystem Development (ED) – Supporting organizations and movements that aim to mobilize financial and non-financial resources to the sector  

In addition to supporting our development partners, our aim with these three sub-verticals is to measure the success of investment in capacity building and share our learnings and evidence with the larger sector to influence funding agencies,  service providers and other NGOs to prioritize capacity building and become resilient and sustainable.  

 A successful Associate will:  

Systems and processes  

o Accountable to ensure online and offline filing of all documentation for all the projects  

o Support in creating and updating basic financial dashboards to track the end-to-end grant disbursement  process  

o Regularly update the database of service providers and intermediaries working in the sector that can be  shared within and beyond our network  

o Regularly update the profile and impact data of partners supported by the Social Sector Capacity Building  vertical across all databases  

Research, data analysis & reporting  

o Conduct primary and secondary research to support managers and vertical head during events,  conferences, or while planning strategic initiatives and special projects 

o Create centralized systems to collect, organise, and analyse data from various partners to ensure smooth  grant management operations 

o Support in building and updating dashboards for all 3 sub-verticals to ensure data-driven decisions made  by the leadership team 

o Support the managers in creating vertical-specific proposals and reports for board meetings 

Communication and documentation:  

o Document stories of impact shared by our partner organizations and work with the communications  manager to disseminate the same to wider stakeholders through various online and offline platforms o Design templates, dashboard and create bite-size information for social media 

Event, logistics and vendor management:  

o Create SOPs for events that can guide everyone to ensure timely completion of all tasks 

o Support managers in the logistics of online and offline events  


Min 3 years of work experience 

A graduate degree from any field 


Basic understanding of the social sector would be preferred 

Create and operationalize SOPs 

Prior experience in operations and administration role would be ideal 


Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint  

Good verbal & writing skills 

Basic report writing skills; good at formatting and creating presentations 

Excellent at organising and execution  

Co-ordination with various internal and external stakeholders  


Problem-solving attitude 


Willing to learn and grow in the organisation; enjoys carrying out operational tasks

Commitment: Full-time in Mumbai at our Fort office. 

Location: Based in Mumbai. We are not looking for employees working from remote locations for this role.
