About ACT:

Ashwini Charitable Trust (ACT) is an NGO in Bangalore dedicated to educating and empowering underprivileged children, from UKG through to college. For these students, education and empowerment are the key to breaking the cycle of poverty.

Designation: Academic Facilitator

Position type: Full Time, Monday – Saturday 9am – 6pm (flexible dayoff)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations for Academic Programs, ensuring curriculum is followed and adjusted as required

  • Manage records and documentation related to academic programs including student attendance, volunteer engagement, periodic student assessments, and overall program performance metrics

  • Liase with our curriculum partners as required to assess and adjust program elements, obtain materials, ensure accounts remain up to date

  • Coordinate programs across satellite centres, including visits to centres to ensure volunteers are on track and records are managed

  • Act as a main point of contact for volunteers handling Academic Program curriculum

  • Onboard new volunteers and train them in the curriculum and delivery methods

Candidate Profile:

Candidates must have a great love for children and a desire to work with underprivileged children and their families. The candidate must be comfortable working directly with children and in classroom settings.

– Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written)

– Demonstrated record driving process improvement and program growth

– Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

– Ability to multitask

– Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Drive

– Degree in any discipline

– Two-wheeler license (two-wheeler for work use would be provided)
